Kane came into our lives on 27th December 2007 a little bundle of joy, and a wonderful addition to the family. Our 9 other grandchildren loved him as did the rest of the family. On the 12th March 2008 ten short weeks later he fell asleep. I cannot begin to describe the pain and anguish all the family felt, we were all totally devastated. Here is a poem that i composed and read at Kane's funeral. It just sums up simply the way we felt about a little boy who like Peter Pan will be forever young and always be remembered as our Shining Star. xxxxxxxx OUR LITTLE STAR God gave us our Kane to cherish and love So tiny, so perfect, a gift from above. When we looked at his face it was happiness we found. And peace seemed to spread to all he was around. His love touched our hearts like a bright star of gold. And we thanked god for giving this Angel to hold. But we did not know then that time was our foe, And to soon up to heaven our Angel would go. We still have our memories to cherish and love. Kane's Star will now shimmer from heaven above. And though we can't see him or cuddle him tight. We won't say goodbye Kane We'll just say goodnight. xxxx
